A Thrilling Motor Sports Weekend In Glamis

Thousands of motorsport fans gathered in Glamis over the Thanksgiving weekend for some heart-stopping action on the motorsport front. Touted as the largest weekend, to celebrate the holiday, the excitement and expectations were palpable. For off-roader fans, this was the biggest and most important weekend of the season.

Red Bull was getting ready to introduce Menzies Motorsports from Las Vegas, as their new partner in the sport. They teamed up with Menzies Motorsports, who were introducing their new range of sand rails, rhinos, trucks, etc. Driving a 850 HP Trophy Truck, the crew of Red Bull knew they were being watched, so they got the crowd really buzzing when they zipped up Olds Mobile Hill as an early morning warm up . A 15 member crew team from Menzies Motorsports all enjoying the weekend off, were all set to let their hair down and have a great time. While the guys did their racing act, the team girls zipped around in rinos, distributing Red Bull cans to the spectators, making sure Red Bull got maximum publicity. Soon it was time for the fun to start, as the sun shun gloriously over the dunes. The guys got ready to display their talent and expertise in this scintillating sport. With their trucks and rails prominently displaying their brand, they hit the sand with a vengeance.

Consisting of 60 members, the Red Bull and Menzies Motorsports teams were being well looked after, behind the action scene, also. A fantastic Thanksgiving dinner, complete with all the trimmings of turkey, pumpkin pie, glazed ham, etc. was being prepared for the team. After dinner, as the team sat around a campfire, happy and satiated, music from the DJ added to the happy ambience. Then, the Red Bull host made an important announcement regarding the introduction of Red Bull’s newest Athlete. As the temperatures dropped the feeling of sharing and warmth grew, the teams cuddling closer to the fire, swapping stories, as the night marched on.

One of the Red Bull team members pulled a great stunt for the benefit of the team members.

Dressed in his full racing gear – Polaris RZR, helmet etc. the team member mimicked being on fire, and screamed for help. It was only when another team member rushed to his aid that the group realized it was all an act, and happily appreciated the joke.

Bryce, son of Steve Menzies (owner of Menzies Motorsports) was presented with a Red Bull Helmet, suit, and branded hat, by the Red Bull team. A prouder father would be difficult to find, as after receiving a hug from his son, Steve Menzies glowed with pride, announcing that he expected great success in the future, once Menzies Motorsports officially represented Red Bull as their off-road team.

On the nights of Friday and Saturday, the public gathered in the open compound, and were entertained by the toe-tapping music from the DJ. Red Bull cans were being guzzled, the off-road toys were on display, and fans were able to obtain autographs of their respective idols. Once sunset set in, the crowd got to watch the Nitro Circus movie on a portable screen. A fulfilling, happy ending to an exciting weekend of motorsports.

Love the post. It combined adrenalin and the wonder of hero-worship for the spectators. And personally I am also a fan of off road sports, so all in all this post was a pretty great piece of writing.
